Privacy Policy | FragPilot
How FragPilot handles account data, analytics and privacy-minimized fragrance decision events.
Last updated: 2026-08-30
About this policy
FragPilot is a fragrance discovery and comparison service. This policy explains the information used to operate the site, understand product usage and protect user accounts.
Information we handle
- Account information — If you create an account, we process the name, email address, profile image and authentication records needed to provide and secure it.
- Decision events — We may record a first-party anonymous identifier and a limited set of events such as search, opening a perfume, viewing similar fragrances, comparing two perfumes and following a merchant offer. These records use fixed event names and entity identifiers. Search text is normalized and limited in length.
- Analytics — FragPilot uses Google Analytics 4 when enabled. Google may process browser, device, approximate location and interaction information under its own terms and privacy controls.
- Cookies and local storage — These may be used for authentication, language, theme, anonymous event continuity and analytics.
- Messages you send — If you contact us, we process the information in your message so we can respond.
FragPilot's first-party decision event table does not intentionally store raw IP addresses, User-Agent strings or unnormalized free-form search text. Server and infrastructure providers may still process network logs for security and reliability.
Why we use information
We use information to operate and secure accounts, return relevant fragrance results, improve comparisons and navigation, understand aggregate site usage, prevent abuse and respond to requests.
Service providers and external links
We may use hosting, database, object storage, authentication and analytics providers to operate FragPilot. Perfume pages may link to brand or merchant websites. When you leave FragPilot, the destination site's privacy policy applies.
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users and the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
Retention and security
We retain account information while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterward when required for security, legal or operational purposes. Privacy-minimized event data is retained only as long as useful for product analysis. We use access controls and encrypted transport, but no internet service can promise absolute security.
Your choices
You can change language and theme preferences, use browser controls for cookies, and request access, correction or deletion of account information where applicable. Browser or analytics controls may reduce measurement without preventing access to the public fragrance catalogue.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as FragPilot changes. The date above shows the latest revision. Questions or privacy requests can be sent through the contact method published on FragPilot.
